If all you had to go by were examples from modern fiction, you might think being a vampire is all about immortality, snappy outfits, supernatural charm and mystical powers. Some people go so far as to say that it would be cool to be a vampire. Here's a newsflash to angsty goth kids everywhere: Being a vampire would suck! (OK, yes, I realize that's kind of the point and all, but it had to be said.) This quiz is all about vampires in the folklore of various cultures around the world, with some comparisons to fictional versions to show how they differ. Each question will list a reason why becoming a vampire is not something sane people would really want to have happen to them, and then it will ask a trivia question related to that point. Some answers should be common knowledge to anyone who has ever even heard of a vampire in any context, while others will be more difficult.
