Weird and Wondrous Watergate World
![]() |
Pictured in the Introduction is the famous Watergate complex which gave its name to a series of related scandals in the Nixon administration, arising from illegal conduct such as burglary and wiretapping. President Nixon was not involved in the underlying criminal operations, but he actively participated in efforts to cover-up the Watergate scandal. What is so crazy about the whole Watergate operation is its utter lack of necessity to President Nixon's 1972 re-election efforts. I don't understand pointless criminality. I agree with the conclusions expressed by the correct answer to question 11 with respect to the relative seriousness of the offenses that led to President Nixon's resignation to avoid impeachment and the acts of President George W. Bush under the ludicrous "unitary executive" theory. This quiz asks you to identify good guys, bad guys, and morally ambiguous guys who were involved in the Watergate scandal. If this quiz meets my minimum participation expectations, I will do another on this topic, as the subject is barely mined in these 11 questions. UPDATE on 11/24/2007: Although, as of this date, this has been my highest rated quiz that did not receive an Editor's Award there will be no sequel as this one has attracted relatively few takers. Thanks to all who have taken (or in the future take) this quiz. Source: Wikipedia, the on-line encyclopedia.
