or The History of Scientists Who Made a Pact With the Devil. Throughout time, scientist of one school or another have contributed great innovations to the world of medicine, alchemy, chemistry, physics and more. Most of these gifts have been exceedingly useful and set the stage for even greater advances in the field. However, the coin has another side… a far more sinister and selfish side that somehow twists the very minds of the scientists making them want to do more harm than help. Granted, said scientific minds often believe that the evils that they are ultimately performing are doing good, and this is what truly makes these individuals mad. Here are nine of the most diabolical scientific minds or discoveries in history. The tenth and last question will allow you to finish on a more positive note. The Renaissance French writer and humanist Francois Rabelais said:” Science without conscience is the ruin of the soul.” The quiz was not built for speed, I included relevant details for each question. Some of the questions (4 and 8) are difficult and will challenge you. Enjoy! Sources: Online Encyclopaedias, books from library such as “Hitler’s Scientists” by John Cornwell.

Good quiz. Very difficult but very informative.
It's not entirely clear who was the model for Dr Strangelove.
You list one possible, but John van Neumann and Edward
Teller are also contenders. As is Henry Kissinger. Van
Neumann's physical problems fit, but so does Teller's flat-out
barking insanity.
