Almost every recorded song will be covered by more than one artist. Sometimes, it will be a smash hit for both performers, but sometimes, only a minor hit for one or the other. Usually, the recordings are years or even more than a generation apart. Sometimes, the song will be covered by two artists who release their versions within months/weeks of each other and the record buying public opts for which they prefer.
