According to Disney, Goofy was created as a human character, as opposed to Pluto, who was a pet, so he walked
upright and had a speaking voice. Ironically at some points Pluto is even depicted as the pet of Goofy who himself is a
dog. The mind reels. Pluto, in case you're wondering was indeed named after the planet, oops excuse me, the celestial object formerly known as a planet, called Pluto. Anyway, see how much of a Goofy and Pluto aficionado you truly are!
