|The prestigious Nobel Prizes are awards given out annually to worthy individuals since 1901 in all categories except for economics, which began only in 1969. And throughout more than a century ot its history, only 36 awards were awarded to women. The breakdown is as follows: 2 for physics, 3 for chemistry, 7 for physiology and medicine, 12 for peace, 10 for literature and none for economics. |
