Women Presidents: Pop Culture's Blind Eye

As the United States moves closer than it ever has in its history to the possibility of a woman President, I decided to look at images of women presidents in popular culture-- on film and TV--as an indicator of the state of the American psyche. After all, with the debate raging over media fairness and whether the mostly male media were beaning Hillary and tossing softballs to Barack, it seemed that truth might be stranger than fiction. I searched, I Googled, I meta-searched and I even Yahooed. And then I searched some more. If American media seems resistant to accepting a female candidate for president, the creative hearts and minds of film and television land show no such temerity. What they do show seemed like ideal material for a trivia quiz. Trivial indeed.
So here is a quiz based on depictions of woman presidents on the silver screen and on the (increasingly) flat but smaller home screen. Good night, and good luck!
