Words to Old-Time Songs

The songs in this quiz were popularly sung in community groups of various kinds in the United States for many years. At least some of them were popular in the United Kingdom, also. The songs, including folk songs, spirituals, and hymns, were all included in "Get-Together Songs," edited by Ellen Jane Lorenz and Harry C. Eldridge and published in the U.S. by Lorenz Publishing Company. The edition I own was published in 1935, so obviously, all of these songs were written before then. However, I know some of the folk songs were still being sung in some American schools in the 1980's (and possibly later).

I hope you enjoy going back in time to remember (or maybe learn about) these old classics. I would appreciate your rating the quiz afterward.
