Yes, music lovers--here we are once again! As with the previous two quizzes, the songs in this quiz were popularly sung in community groups of various kinds in the United States for many years. At least some of them were popular in the United Kingdom, also. Most of these songs, including folk songs, spirituals, and hymns, were included in 'Fireside Book of Folk Songs,' edited by Margaret Bradford Boni and published by Simon and Schuster, Inc., New York, USA. The edition I used was printed in 1947. (I also used The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition for one definition.) David Highland's website "http://home.earthlink.net/~highying/froggy/froggy.html" was a very interesting resource about one of the songs; "http://www.carols.org.uk" was helpful with another. I hope you enjoy taking the quiz and that you enjoy remembering these old favorites as much as I do. Thank you for rating this quiz when you have finished taking it.
