You Know More Japanese Than You Think!

|I was inspired to write this quiz to day because I work with an elderly woman who hates to practice standing up. I make her do it in order to strengthen her legs and therefore make standing up easier. I found that one way to make her forget that she is exercising is to make her count in foreign languages. As a child, she spoke Spanish, French and German. I've exhausted those languages and I was looking for a new one. So, I had to look up the words for the numbers 1 through 10 online. This is what I found (in addition to the numbers):|
A surprising number of words that we commonly use in English are of Japanese origin. In fact, these Japanese words were not Anglicized at all, but were stolen outright from the Japanese language without any changes.
You can find Japanese words in our food and drink, in our entertainment sports, and music among other things.
You will do well on this quiz if you have a passing familiarity with other foreign languages and can therefore do a little process of elimination in ferriting out the correct answer.
