Growing up in the Caribbean is an experience like none other. The slangs we hear and use on a daily basis stay with us for life. Even though I no longer live in the Caribbean, anytime I overhear a stranger use one of the phrases from my childhood I can't help but smile. Everyone know's about Bob Marley and can throw out a "hey mon" every once in a while but if "an original yardie peppered yo skin with some hard talks" could you understand them?
