![]() |
The movie "Zulu" was released in 1964 and starred Michael Caine and Stanley Baker. It portrayed the events of the Defense of Rourke's Drift during which Welsh soldiers in the army of the British Queen Victoria overcame enormous odds to defeat the Zulu army of King Cetshwayo. In reality, of the approximately 150 soldiers only 32 were Welsh, and they defeated a reserve group of Zulus who were instructed by Cetshwayo NOT to attack the garrison at Rourke's Drift, but one of Cetshwayo's half-brothers ignored the order and tried to impress the King. This quiz is about the differences between the "real facts" and the "reel facts".
